- Lindy has revealed new ancient hybrid headphones with a mode of transparency
- They have a long 55 -hour battery life and a customizable equalizer
- Headphones only in the United Kingdom cost £ 79.99, making it a Sony WH720N rival
The best noise cancellation earphone tends to be expensive enough, and that has left a niche for more modest models to shine – like those of the British audio firm Lindy.
Lindy was early for the ANC budget market with models such as its 2017 BNX-60, which we congratulated as a “good set of wireless noise earphones” for those who have a budget. It has improved its models since and has now launched the new BNXE with more features and a price below its predecessors.
The Lindy BNXE are ears with 40 mm pilots inside, ANC and some useful personalization features. And that means that they could be rivals for the 1more Sonoflow Pro HQ51 (our current budget noise canneurs) and the Sony WH-CH720N.
Lindy Bnxe: Key characteristics and price
Lindy’s Hybrid Anci System has a new switching mode of transparency that allows you to hear the world around you without removing your headphones, and you can turn it on and turn it off via the application or use of the helmet housing buttons.
40 mm neodymium magnet pilots have a decent frequency range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, so they should seem fairly well. And the lifespan of the promised battery is 55 hours, which is long enough to fly around the world.
The application is delivered with a useful EQ function which includes 10 presets and which can be fully personalized, and there is a “find it” feature to help you locate your headphones if you forget where you put them.
Solid components are all made from recycled plastics, and ear plates and strips are made with vegan materials.
Perhaps more important, the Lindy BNXE costs £ 79.99. It is a decent price for specification, but there is an elephant in the shape of Sony in the room in the form of the Sony WH-CH720N. They are even cheaper, and as we said in our Critique Sony Wh -CH720N, they “a comfortable and pleasant listening” – although in my eyes, they make you look like a Cyberman from Doctor Who.
