Like our review Samsung Galaxy S24 Fe will tell you, these “fan edition” will face the flagship models have often reached the ideal point with regard to price and performance – and it seems that we get a Galaxy S25 Fe model in the not too far future.
The Samobile team has discovered evidence that work started on the firmware for the Galaxy S25 Fe, the lowest level of software that works under Android (known as IU on Samsung handsets of course).
Now that doesn’t tell us about the phone itself: just that Samsung remains attached to the FE series and should unveil the Galaxy S25 version as soon as possible. The American unlocking variant has the SM-S731U model number and uses the version of the S731usqu0aydh firmware, according to the Digging Directed by Samobile.
The thought is that the phone will run an 8 user interface (based on Android 16) outside the box. While a user interface 7 only goes to the majority of Samsung handsets, we have already seen indications that an IU 8 is in testing.
So when will we see it?
It is not easy to predict a potential launch date for the Galaxy S25 FE. We know that the model of last year was launched in September and that the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE was unveiled in October 2023, there is therefore clues there.
Most likely, this upcoming phone will also appear in September or October, but we will first have the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7, which should occur over time in July.
We have not heard many rumors around the Samsung Galaxy S25 Fe at this stage, but it was a question that it would come with one of the own Exynos processors in Samsung. All the other handsets in the Galaxy S25 series use Qualcomm Snapdragon silicon, but we are still waiting for all the details on the Samsung Galaxy S25 EDGE.
Speaking of the Galaxy S25 Edge, it should be the next handset launched by Samsung. Most of the advice predict that we will see the phone unveiled in full on Tuesday May 13, after having an overview in January in January.
