The Council of Pakistan Newspaper, publishers (CPNE), elected a new office carrier during an annual election held for 2025-26.
According to the CPNE declaration, Kazim Khan of the Daily Duniya was elected president of the CPNE and Ghulam Nabi Chandio of Daily Pak as secretary general.
The other elected office deputies include Ayaz Khan (main vice-president), Tanveer Shaukat (deputy secretary general), Hamid Hussain Abidi (finance secretary) and Zia Tanoli (information secretary).
Qazi Asad Abid, Adnan Zafar, Yahya Khan Sadozai, Mian Hassan Ahmed and Munir Ahmed Baloch were elected vice-presidents while Tahir Farooq, Munazza Seham, Rafay Niazi, Arif Baloch and Waqas Tariq Farooq as jointly.
In addition, Dr Jabbar Khattak, Ikram Sehgal, Akmal Chohan, Babar Nizami, Maqsood Yousufi, Sher Muhammad Khawer, Sardar Muhammad Siraj, Mudassar Iqbal, Muhammad Owais Razi, Shehzad Amin, Irfan Athar, Shakeel Ahmed Turabi, Tazeen Akhtar, Anwar Sajdi, Mumtaz Ahmed Sadiq, Faqir Munthar Mangrio, Abdul Rahman Mangrio, Dr Zubair Mehmood, Masood Khan, Fazal Haq, Zulfiqar Ahmed Rahat, Ali Ahmed Dhillon, Aamir Mehmood, Syed Inzar Hussain Zanjani, As Ayaz Memon Mudassar Alam and Mehmood Alam Khalid were elected as members of the CPNE.
