Islamabad:

The Indian court under the National Investigation Agency (NIA) said the chief and president of the Hurriyat conference of all the parties (APHC) and President Jammu and the Salvation Movement of Kashmir Jksm Altaf Ahmed Bhat a proclaimed offender (PO).

The NIA court has issued an accusation against Bhat de Srinagar which has resided in Pakistan since the 1990s. The court accused him of participating in several cases. He also ordered that his arrest and his production in court authorizing Indian police to apprehend him wherever he can be found, including in Pakistan.

In response to development, Altaf Ahmed Bhat firmly condemned the decision of the Indian Court.

In a press release, Bhat said: “The cashmerts will not be intimidated by the harmful tactics of India. No amount of oppression or arrest will dissuade us.”

He also criticized the Indian government for having exploited the pahalgam incident as a pretext to launch Israel style operations illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir Iiojk.

According to Bhat, these operations have led to the massive demolition of houses, to the displacement of Kashmiri families and to the expulsion of students from the cashmere of Indian educational establishments.

He pointed out that more than 4,000 innocent cashmiris have been arrested, many families torn apart by mothers separated from the sons, husbands of husbands and children from parents resulting in that he described as an “unprecedented heartbreaking humanitarian tragedy”.

Cashmere has become a nuclear flash point, pushing India and Pakistan two nuclear nations on the verge of war, said BHAT.

He called on international organizations and the United Nations to take immediate and significant measures to resolve the cashmere dispute in accordance with the relevant United Nations resolutions. “The delay in a resolution just to the question of cashmere could lead to catastrophic consequences for the whole region,” he concluded.
