Microsoft revealed a useful discount for Windows 365, while it seeks to encourage Windows 10 users to update before its end of life in October 2025.
New users can now obtain 20% reduction on all plans of Windows 365 for the rest of their contract period of the company agreement, or the first year of their Windows 365 subscription (depending on it).
The offer takes place from May 1, 2025 to October 31, 2025, which means that you are tailor-made to call on the pillars of Windows 10 which are still updating their devices, offering them a taste of the living of the next generation of office software.
Windows 365 or Windows 11?
“The 20% discount on all Windows 365 levels for new customers highlights Microsoft’s unshakable commitment to support our customers in these uncertain times,” said a blog article by Stefan Kinnestrand, Vice-President, Modern Work at Microsoft.
“In these uncertain times, marked by fluctuating economic conditions and concerns of the supply chain, companies are faced with many challenges. In the midst of these complexities, it is even more important to adopt new technologies in the AI era to remain competitive and safe.”
Kinnestrand stressed that companies can check if their current Windows 10 PCs are eligible for free upgrade to Windows 11, buy a new, more secure Windows 11 PC or move to the Cloud with Windows 365.
Microsoft has been pushing its upgrades for some time, with the official end of life of Windows 10 on October 14, 2025.
After this period, users will not receive free updates from Windows products or security, leaving them potentially open to Cyberattack – but a subscription to a Windows 11 Cloud PC powered by Windows 365 will grant them access to such updates.
It is estimated that around one in five laptops using the software is to be executed incompatible with Windows 11, and without an appropriate transition plan, these devices could end up being transmitted to the discharge, creating an increase in electronic waste as companies upgrade their computer infrastructure.
