Sindh police have announced the launch of a facial E-Challan system in Karachi to improve the application of traffic and road safety.
The decision was finalized at a high -level meeting chaired by Inspector General Ghumlam Nabi Memon at the central police office.
The new system will issue digital traffic fines and deliver them directly to the houses of the offenders, removing the need for face -to -face interaction. Officials said this change was aimed at increasing transparency and efficiency of the application of traffic rules.
IGP Memon has also revealed that modern equipment, including speed pistols and digital meters, will be introduced to monitor speed more precisely.
The department will also improve traffic units, improve the well-being of officers and deploy the staff formed with an approach more suited to the public.
IG Karachi Javed Alam Odho has highlighted continuous coordination with other departments to ensure smooth implementation.
