“The president has published a decree, which some people ignore. We will hear really horrible stories of young girls who have really had their careers stolen from them, and some of them, their health.”
Burchett was proactive before the executive decree of President Donald Trump, “No Men in Women’s Sports”, signed.
Bucchett voted for Hjres. 165, which would overthrow a Biden administration rule which allowed men who identified as women to be protected by title IX of the civil rights law.

“The title IX of the civil rights law has been adopted to protect women against opportunities unfairly denied in education and sports. Allowing men to participate in female sports take trophies, changes and even careers far from workers’ athletes.” Burchett declared during his remarks of debate on the ground of the room in July 2024.
The bill finally adopted, 210-205.
Trump’s decree was signed in February at National Girls and Women in Sports Day, which celebrates female athletes in female sports and those who have committed to providing equal access to sports to all women.

“It shouldn’t be long. Everything is common sense,” said Trump before signing the order.
“The war against female sports is over,” he added.
A day later, the NCAA revised its eligibility policy between the sexes to restrict participation in the category of women in organic women. However, the new policy has been criticized by some sports activists so as not to go far enough.
However, several states, including California and Maine, are not by the decree.
Trump recently spoke at the University of Alabama during his graduation ceremony, where he gave a cry to the women’s school team at school. He used this to get into his wish to “defend female sports”.
“As long as I am president, we will always protect female sports. Men will not play in female sports,” said Trump before the crowd has fun in cheers.

“No question. They say it’s a number of 80-20. No, it’s a 97-3 number, I think,” Trump added. “No, men will not play in female sports. I said that, and I ranked it with a very powerful decree, as you know.”
