Bill Belichick won six Super Bowls during his mandate with the New England Patriots who lasted almost a quarter of a century.
Belichick and the Patriots agreed to separate after the 2023 season. Each NFL team then decided to transmit the champion coach six times during the 2024 hiring cycle. Earlier this year, Belichick concluded an agreement with North Caroline football to become the next program coach.
But before his first season in Chapel Hill started in the fall, Belichick thought about his career as a professional football coach in his new book, “The Art of Winning”. However, a “controversial” comparison of the Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes quarters in the book makes the headlines.

Brady, seven times winner of the Super Bowl, is widely considered one of the greatest players, if not the best of all time, in the history of the League. Brady retired “for good” after the 2022 season. But Patrick Mahomes reached the last three Super Bowls, winning two, and is often called the best active NFL signator.
Belichick argued that the two players are “really good”.

“I have never engaged in this argument with my good friend Andy Reid, the chief of the Chiefs of Kansas City, but I have no doubt that he will write his own book one day and affirms that he had the biggest QB of all time,” wrote Belichick, 73.
The former NFL coach then recognized the “controversial” nature of his opinion, writing “, what do you know? Brady and Patrick Mahomes are both really good. Controversial, I know.”

Belichick continued by explaining that his opinion was focused on the ability of two quarters to manage success.
He then underlined the availability of the post-match media of Mahomes after the Kansas City chiefs won a match in 2024. Belichick stressed how Mahumes decided to focus on how he was “missing opportunities” instead of his personal exploits. Tar Heels’ coach suggested that it was an excellent example of leadership.

“This kind of comment is music to my ears. I can’t have enough,” noted Belichick. “It is fundamentally an example of elite leadership. Very similar to what we would win a match with Tom 28-10 and after, he would say:” We should have scored forty-five! “”
Belichick congratulated Brady to be a football player who never hesitated when it was a question of doing “hard things”. He also wrote about the challenges he met by drawing Brady.
“Tom was difficult to train because he was so well prepared. I loved training Brady – he brought out the best of me,” wrote Belichick. “He was intelligent, mentally and physically hard, and the most reliable player I have trained.”
Elsewhere, Belichick’s highly discussed romance with the former cheerleader Jordon Hudson returned to the front of the stage after a recent television interview. Hudson was accused of having tried to assert his control during the delivery of Belichick with “CBS News on Sunday morning”. The interview was part of the promotional tour of the media of the book. In the recognition of the book, Hudson is called “creative muse” by Belichick.
