The Hurts teammate, Saquon Barkley, was also present on Monday at Met Gala. Barkley faced criticism for interacting with Trump on social networks and pushed back the return he received.
“Lol some people are really upset because I played golf and I took the plane to the White House with the president,” Barkley wrote on X in April. “Maybe I respect the office, not a concept that is difficult to understand. There is no golf with Obama not so long ago … And I can’t wait to finish my tour with Trump! Now you go out my mentions with all this policy and spend an incredible day.”

While Hurts received criticism for his decision to skip the celebration of the Eagles at the White House, others supported the decision of the quarter.
