The Minister of Information, Attaullah Tarar, said that the country reserves the right to self -defense and would respond to Indian assault, after the air strikes reported by India targeting civil zones within Pakistan.
Talk to NewsTarar strongly denied Indian complaints connecting Pakistan to the Indian Pahalgam incident occupied Jammu and Kashmir (Iiojk).
“Pakistan is fighting this war against terrorism and no group has claimed responsibility,” said Tarar. “This Pahalgam area is 200 kilometers from the control line.”
He pointed out that the first information report (FIR) concerning the Pahalgam incident had been recorded within ten minutes and that the local police arrived approximately 1:30 later. “The victims were bleeding when the police arrived,” he said, adding that India had no credible evidence binding Pakistan on the attack.
“India has no evidence to connect Pakistan to this incident, but India has attacked civilians, including women and children, today without any justifiable cause,” said the minister.
Tarar said Pakistan had extended an offer to conduct a joint investigation and even invited the United Kingdom to participate. “Our Prime Minister offered an investigation into the issue. Then why did India fled? ” He asked.
“We have told the international community that an investigation would reveal the facts,” he continued. “But the BJP, which is against Muslims and Sikhs, wanted a reason to attack Pakistan – and without any evidence, they did.”
Reaffirming Islamabad’s position, he said: “The Pakistanis have high morale and we will respond to Indian assault. The answer is underway at this stage. “
