The Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant-General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, provided detailed information on Indian air strikes that struck several civil sites across Pakistan overnight, which made eight civilians are martyred and 33 injured.

Speaking during a briefing early Wednesday, the CEO condemned Indian action as an act of aggression not provoked and loose. “Last night Cowardly India launched 24 attacks on six sites in Pakistan, which led to the martyrdom of eight innocent civilians,” he said.

He said five civilians, including a young girl, had been killed at Ahmadpur East alone. In Muzaffarabad, the Bilale mosque has been targeted, causing injuries to a child and damage to the structure. The Abbas mosque in Kotli was also struck, while another mosque in Muridke was struck, killing one civilian and injuring another.

In other regions, an artillery shell landed in the village of Kotli Loharaan near Sialkot, and a dispensary in Shakargarh suffered damage.

“The Pakistani army offers a strong and complete response to this baseless Indian assault,” said the CEO ISPR, adding that all the media would be taken to the affected areas during the day to exhibit “the naked assault of India” in the world.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s right to defend his sovereignty and said that the soldiers’ response was already underway.
