- New headphones have 11 mm dynamic pilots in a super luminous open design
- They offer up to 28 hours of battery life and fast flat load
- Accentum open cost $ 130 / £ 70 (or about $ 145 in)
It is official: as we reported last month, Sennheiser has a new set of open headphones called Open Accentum – and they are cheaper than previous reports, unless you live in the United States.
The new Open Accentum is available in a choice of cream and black with a recommended retail price of £ 69.99 / € 89.90 / or around $ 145 in. Unfortunately, American prices are a little higher at $ 129.95. Ouch.
If you are not familiar with the conceptions of open -style headsets, this means that you do not connect a tip in your auditory duct and that you are seaing the outside world. Unlike most of the best open headphones, accentuated openings are similar to AirPods 4 by offering a stem -shaped design that is outside your auditory duct.
And despite the lack of the ANC (cancellation of active noise), they could be a nice alternative to AirPods 4 (which cost $ 129 / £ 129 / $ 219), depending on where you live …
Sennheiser open headphones: key features
The Sennheiser Open is very like the AirPods 4, with a long stem containing touch controls and a fairly airpods loading box. Each bud is only 4.4 g, about one card to play, and the battery life is 6.5 hours per bud and 28 hours with the load box. Ten minutes of USB loading offer up to 1.5 hours of listening time.
Inside each earpiece, there is a dynamic 11 mm transducer which is just outside your ear canal, allowing you to listen to music and podcasts in comfort without blocking the outside world.
Sennheiser has not entered more details, but the list of products on the Thomann retail site indicates that the frequency range is 25 Hz to 15,000 Hz and that the codecs supported are SBC and AAC.
The headphones have Bluetooth 5.3 with multipoint and there are double bundle microphones for clear calls. Overall, a convincing bundle, especially if they correspond to the rest of the Accentum line during our tests – although the American price can make them less attractive if you live there.
