- The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 could only be 3.9 mm thick when it is unfolded
- It could also have a new battery and a load technology
- We also hear that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 could have a larger battery than its predecessor
We have heard several sources that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 could be impressive, but a new statement suggests that it will be even thinner than we have heard previously, at least when it is unfolded.
According to @universeice, a leak with a solid balance sheet, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will only be 3.9 mm thick when it is unfolded – it is even thinner than an assertion of 4.5 mm that we had already heard.
When folded, it is a slightly different story, this source stating that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be 8.9 mm thick, which would actually be thicker than the 8.2 mm that we had heard elsewhere. Anyway, it’s exceptionally thin for a foldable phone.
According to some exclusive information, the next direction of the flagship machine of Samsung is still thin and light, and the battery will be thin and thin, and the body will continue to be thin. The Galaxy Z Fold7 will be the thinnest folding machine in the world at that time,… Pic.twitter.com/uas3nzaf8jMay 7, 2025
@Universeice has also shed light on the battery, echoing the previous leaks saying that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will have a 4400 mAh battery, just like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, but also intriguing that it would use new battery and charging technology.
We do not know what they hear by this, but that could mean that the battery will last longer than the battery of the Z Fold 6, although it is apparently of the same capacity, and this can also mean that we see higher load speeds than the 25 W of Z Fold 6.
From fold to flip, and S26
Getting away from the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the same source also said that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 will have a 4,300 mAh battery. This would make it larger than the 4,000 mAh battery in the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, and this is something we heard from several sources, so there is a good chance that it is precise.
Finally, @universeice says that the Samsung Galaxy S26 “will continue to be thin”. For reference, the Samsung Galaxy S25 has a thickness of 7.2 mm, which suggests that its successor will not be much thicker and could be thinner.
Of course, we take all this with a pinch of salt, but with regard to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 GB, we must know everything soon, because they are likely to be revealed in July. The Samsung Galaxy S26, however, will probably not be cleaner before the beginning of 2026.
