The British Council has announced the cancellation of GCE, IGCSE, IELTS and University of London’s exams scheduled for the Thursday afternoon session (PM) in all Lahore sites due to tensions.
According to a press release published by the Council, the decision was taken in coordination with the relevant examination commissions to ensure the security and security of all candidates.
“This decision was made to prioritize the security and security of candidates,” said the Council, urging students and parents to rely only on the official platforms of the British Council for the latest updates.
Applicants were advised to stay in touch with their schools for more advice. Private candidates were invited to contact the British Council customer service center.
The declaration did not mention if the exams would be reprogrammed, but stressed that all the additional announcements would be made through official channels.
The development comes after India launched strikes not caused in Pakistan in the early hours of Wednesday, two weeks after accused his neighbor of participating in an attack in the cashmere occupied during which 26 people were killed.
Islamabad had denied the accusation and promised to retaliate to missile strikes, also claiming that he had shot five Indian planes, 25 drones and damaged several control posts.
While tensions continue, the authorities across the country are on alert, the flights are also intermittently suspended.
