William Hardrick, a defensive back of university football that previously played at Mississippi State and Miami (Ohio) before the transfer to Austin Peay, died. He was 22 years old.
The University of Austin Peay announced the death of Hardrick on Wednesday.

Hardrick was killed in a car accident in Alabama near Interstate 65, the County County Coroner Mike West, told Whnt-TV.
John Walter McAdams was arrested in the accident and was accused of murder and two charges of leaving the scene of an injury accident as well as Dui. Alabama Law Enforcement Agency was investigating the accident.
McAdams would have led a semi-trailer semittric.

“We are really saddened by the death of William Hardrick, a new member of our Austin Peay football and family program,” said Austin Peay, Gerald Harrison, in a statement. “All of our thoughts and prayers are with the Hardrick family today. We will do our best to support their friends, family and teammates right now.”
The head coach of governors Jeff Faris called Hardrick “exceptional young man”.
“Our team is broken by its loss,” added Faris. “He improved everyone around him and had a real impact on and out of the field. We raise the Hardrick family in prayer while we mourn this tragic loss with them.”
Hardrick went to high school in Adamsville, in Alabama, before engaging in the state of Mississippi. He played for the Bulldogs throughout the 2022 season and spent two seasons with Miami.

He played in 18 games for the Redhawks and managed 32 plated in total.
