A fundraising campaign on the site of the Foule GiveDendgo made it possible to collect more than $ 15,000 for a student from the University of the Temple intended to lead a legal battle against the founder of Barstool Sports, Dave Portnoy.
The student, Mo Khan, was immersed in the national controversy after Portnoy accused Khan of having published a video on his Instagram history showing a waitress inside the street bar withoutom Barstool holding a sign that said “F — The Jews”.
Portnoy initially proposed to send the student during a trip to Auschwitz to find out more about the Holocaust in response to his alleged role in the incident, but Khan refused. Instead, the 21 -year -old collects funds for a legal defense on GiveDendgo.

However, a video that Khan published on X announcing the campaign received a community note after Portnoy challenged the student’s story on what happened.
The co-founder of Givedengo, Jacob Wells, told PK Press Club Digital that the company “examines” the validity of the campaign.
“We want to make sure that the campaigns are as truthful as possible, so we take disputes seriously, we have our verification team that can take a look, and we would be happy to take a look at this too,” said Wells, admitting that he did not know the Portnoy dispute and the community note on the post of Khan before.
“It is not our responsibility or our work necessarily to find facts around each campaign in the nth degree, so there is a balance there, but we are committed to doing our verification process … We are certainly committed to examining the campaign as we would do any other campaign and to ensure that it is truthful as possible in a platform like ours.”
Wells added that if Khan has distorted the events that led to his fundraising in the campaign summary, he “could be” the reasons for removal of the campaign.
“It could be. I hate to do hypotheses because there are so many variables in these situations,” said Wells.
“If there are blatant examples of lies in campaign stories, it would certainly be a violation of the terms of service and something that we will seriously consider for withdrawal.”

Khan said in his video that he had nothing to do with the contribution the sign to the bar and that he “reported”. Khan also expressed anti-Israeli beliefs in the diatribe.
“Although I have nothing to do with the sign that comes out, and I don’t know who did it either, I know that the sign was provocative because it reminds people a lot the unfair things that Israel does all over the world, leading me to account,” said Khan, adding later “” Israel kills thousands of people on a daily basis! “”
Portnoy republished Khan’s video by contesting Khan and called the student “a liar”.
“This guy is a flat liar. I spoke to him on the phone with his boyfriend and they both owned it and I cried on this subject. He was then a lawyer after talking with his family,” wrote Portnoy in response to Khan’s post on X.
Khan has since responded to Portnoy on X, contesting the founder’s assertion that the student has kept a lawyer and cried by phone.
The initial community note on Khan’s post read: “History is different from the story it originally told in Dave Portnoy, to the point where Portnoy called it as” liar “” and included links to Portnoy’s response and an article from the New York Post covering the exchange.
However, the position seems to have a new community note which underlines a different factor in the history of Khan with regard to the incident.
The new community note is now read: “Several Mo Khan incidents committing anti -Semitic acts have surfaced online, in particular by launching neighborhoods to Jewish students from Temple University.” The new note includes links to a history of NBC Philadelphia on the incident, but this article does not mention any past anti -Semitic behavior of Khan.
However, the new note also underlines that Khan has made an interview on a podcast managed by Stew Peters, which is known to house and spread anti -Semitic beliefs, including the exploitation of the site “of which Beajew.com.
The president of the University of the Temple, John Fry, seemed to condemn Khan’s interview in a statement.
“Yesterday we realized that a student participated in an interview with a media personality that has a history of production of anti -Semitic content and extreme racist,” said Fry. “The content of this interview was both appalling and deeply offensive. Anti -Semitism is not tolerated at Temple.”
Temple confirmed that he had suspended two students as part of his investigation into the issue. Khan said he was suspended by the university.
Khan has not been accused of any crime. Philadelphia police said they gathered information on the incident earlier in the week.
