For more than a decade, Julian Edelman was trained by Bill Belichick. But, in recent weeks, the achievements of the former coach of the Patriots of New England during his legendary football career have largely taken a rear seat with his romance with Jordon Hudson.
Hudson, Belichick’s girlfriend, 24, was accused of having tried to assert her control during the former NFL coach with “CBS News Sunday Morning”. The interview was part of a promotional tour for Belichick’s new book, “The Art of Winn: lessons from my life in football”.
In the midst of the benefits, Edelman encourages his former coach to return to his character without heads and focused on football.

“The n ° 1 thing we are talking about in New England all the time was the distractions.” Let’s not make distractions. The game is already as difficult as that. To prepare, play, train. “And whatever his role, Jordon, yes, I thought he had an unfair public opinion on the whole, because it happens all the time,” said Edelman during a recent appearance in “The Herd with Colin Cowherd.”

Edelman has spent his entire career in the NFL with the Patriots, winning three Super Bowls along the way. He underwent an injury to the pre-season LCA in 2017 before the New England race at Super Bowl LII. The game gave birth to the famous Play “Philly Special” of the Eagles.
Edelman argued that the current drama creates a snowball effect, which, according to him, finally leads to a distraction.

“Whenever we are behind the scenes, that, you have someone who represents you, they will jump. But now that he is won and that he is snowy at what has become at this moment, where we are talking about it three weeks later, it has become a distraction. This is what we all think right now. It becomes a distraction. We have to practice what we are preaching here.”
Cowherd took a more measured tone, suggesting that he wanted to avoid making a judgment.
“They both benefit from it, his professional and him a little professionally. So I don’t like being tried too much on this kind,” warned Cowherd.
While Edelman seemed to agree with Cowherd’s approach, he also underlined how long Belichick’s personal life has remained a focal point.
“I don’t do it either, but I was talking once about these three weeks later … that’s it, that’s about it,” said Edelman. “It is at a point where we have to start worrying about the ACC (and the Clemson coach) Dabo Swinney. We should not talk about our girlfriend. And that’s how coach would tell us, so it’s the truth.
“When it comes to directing a football organization and playing football, let’s do most of the essential.”

During a recent edition of the “Dudes on Dudes” podcast, Edelman said that many people who analyzed the situation of Belichick did not have the right prospect.
“People give an unfair reality of what’s going on,” said the NFL’s broad receiver to retirement. “Because she jumped into this conversation during the interview like any person in public relations when there is an unnecessary question that (they) probably did not spend during the pre-production meeting.”
The viral interview was not the first time that Hudson’s apparent participation in Belichick’s career has faced the opposite winds. The criticisms talked about her participated participation in North Carolina by losing the opportunity to appear on “Hard Knocks” by HBO. According to The Athletic, Hudson had an “instrumental role” in HBO expressing the potential production of docuseries focused on the UNC.
The report also noted that Hudson had asked to be “strongly involved in the project”.
Belichick, 73, has been publicly linked to Hudson since 2023. In a statement published after the CBS interview, Belichick said that he had met Hudson during a flight in 2021.
