- The foldable iPhone would use another type of screen for Samsung foldables
- He will suppose a built-in tactile sensor, making him thinner and lighter
- It is also supposed to offer higher brightness and better color reproduction
The long -term foldable iPhone would have a display made by Samsung, but despite its screen may have the own foldable phones from Samsung according to a new report.
The Eye leak1122 publishing on the South Korean Blog Naver (via Macrumors), says that the foldable iPhone will have a new type of screen that we have not seen on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold or Samsung Galaxy Z Flip models.
Supposedly, this screen will have an integrated touch sensor directly into the screen, while with the current foldables of Samsung, the touch sensor is a separate layer placed on the top of the foldable screen.
Having integrated it into the screen is common on non -redable phones, but it is more difficult to make with a foldable. It is delivered with advantages, in particular by apparently making this screen to about 19% more thin than the Galaxy Z screens of Samsung, as well as the lightest.
This could in turn help Apple keep the iPhone foldable thin, with previous reports suggesting that it could only be 4.5 mm thick when it is unfolded and between 9 mm and 9.5 mm thick when folded.
Samsung could also benefit
This will not necessarily make him thinner than the next Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, which is also very slimming compared to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6. But it is interesting, according to this report, Samsung only makes his own phone to come because of the work he does to meet the apple display requirements.
So, in other words, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 can have a similar screen, but Samsung may not have continued this if Apple had not forced it.
The display of the foldable iPhone will probably not be identical to what the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has however, because Apple will apparently contain brand brands for the foldable iPhone screen, so it could be even thinner than the display of the Z Fold 7.
And this new screen is not only thinner and lighter than the existing foldable screens of Samsung, it also improved the maximum brightness, normal brightness and color reproduction. Thus, this screen could be a real upgrade on the foldable screens that we have seen to date.
Unfortunately, we will probably not see it for a while, the foldable iPhone is not likely to start before the end of 2026. But we can at least see some of these improvements in the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, which should land in July.
