In the midst of increasing tensions between Pakistan with nuclear weapons and India, the Minister of Foreign State of Saudi Arabia, Adel al-Jubeir, arrived in Islamabad for an official visit, after his stay in New Delhi, Radio Pakistan reported.
Up to his arrival, Al-Jubeir was warmly received by the Saudi ambassador to Pakistan and senior officials from the Pakistani Foreign Affairs.
During his visit, Al-Jubeir met the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ishaq Dar, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The two discussed a range of questions, including the current tensions between Pakistan and India.

Al-Jubeir is planned for interviews with the Pakistani leaders during his visit, with a particular accent on the climbing of the situation between the two neighboring countries.
Sources have said that the United States and Saudi Arabia appeared as two main interlocutors between Pakistan and India. These efforts were more visible on Thursday.
While Saudi Arabia sent Al-Jubeir to New Delhi during an unexpected visit, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke to the Saudi Minister for Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal Bin Farhan and subsequently telephoned Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

While blaming New Delhi for the current crisis, Pakistan, according to sources, told Saudi and American interlocutors that Islamabad had never wished to climb in tensions.
Pakistan has been believed to have told these international players that the country wanted the international community to condemn Indian missile strikes targeting innocent civilians.
The sources said that Pakistan has asked the United States and Saudi Arabia that India had to repair its ways and will have to reverse its decision to keep the Treaty.
