India performs air strikes on three PAF air bases, all safe assets: DG ISPR

Karachi:

India has carried out air strikes on three bases of Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Nur Khan, Murid and Shorkot. During an emergency press conference held in the first hours of Saturday, the director general of the ISPR, Lieutenant-General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, confirmed that all PAF assets remained safe.

“Continuing its naked assault, India, some time ago, pulled air missiles with its jets. Paf Nur Khan Base, Paf Murid Base and Shorkot Base has been targeted,” he said.

The CEO ISPR also confirmed that “the majority” of Indian missiles fired from the PAF air areas have been successfully intercepted by the armed forces defense systems.

He added that the few missiles that managed to escape the interception “faufilée” but, according to the assessment reports of initial damage, “could not cause damage” to the flying assets of PAF.

He said India was also aiming for Afghanistan, warning that India was now trying to drag the whole region in a catastrophic conflict. “Now you are waiting for our answer,” warned the CEO Ispr.

Earlier, DG ISPR informed that India had launched six ballistic missiles from Adampur air base in Indian Punjab. Among these, a missile landed near the general area of Adampur itself, while the other five locations hit the region of Amritsar.

He described the incident as an imprudent decision that endangered civil lives and raised serious questions about India’s operational intention and internal targeting protocols.

He said the attacks were not accidental. “India deliberately targets Sikhs blown in Punjab to encourage hostility among Sikhs towards Pakistan,” he said.

Meanwhile, multiple explosions were reported in Rawalpindi and Lahore at the short hours of Saturday, which caused responses to security and emergency in the two cities.

In Rawalpindi, two explosions were heard in the Saddar region, the residents pointing that the sound was reached with regard to Islamabad, according to Express News.

According to sources, the explosions were heard near Nur Khan Airbase in Chaklala. The sirens have been activated nearby, and many residents have voluntarily extinguished their lights as a precaution.

In Lahore, the residents reported noisy explosions and the sound of the shots near Bedian Road and Defense Housing Authority (DHA). The authorities continue to assess events in the two cities.

Speaking during a briefing for foreign media on Friday, the chief military spokesman put India to present evidence, if she has, Pakistan attacks against Indian military facilities with drones and missiles.

“Pakistan has not used drones or rockets. If India claims the opposite, let it present evidence,” he challenged, criticizing the Indian media for having spread “fabricated stories”.

The CEO ISPR said that reprisals from the Pakistani army against India’s attack was limited to the Indian military posts firing in civil areas along the control line (LOC).

Lieutenant-General Chaudhry was joined by the Director General of Public Relations (DGPR) of the PAF (DGPR), the vice-marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed, and the deputy chief of naval staff (operations) Raja Rab Nawaz.

They informed the media about the evolution of the location of the loc and the larger regional implications. They firmly rejected the Indian accusations on Pahalgam’s attack, warning that New Delhi’s actions are likely to destabilize regional peace.
