Islamabad:
The chief of Jamiat Ulema-E-Islam (JUI-F), Maulana Fazlur Rehman, said that the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, was “not fair” and urged the imprisonment of the leaders of any political party during the war situation.
Addressing journalists, Fazl said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI) was a political party, and as the government, it also claimed to fight for the interests of the country.
Fazl was asked if he would play a role in the council or the facilitation of dialogue with PTI, since the party continues to criticize the government in the midst of what it described as a situation of war.
“Their chief is in prison. Many of their workers are also imprisoned. They feel that if they go out [of jail]The country would take advantage of it, “he added, explaining that it is part of the party’s position.
“In addition, the case is in court. I am a politician,” said the head of the Jeu-F.
Fazl reiterated that the imprisonment of political leaders is not appropriate in a democratic configuration.
He also vehemently denounced the United States and other major world powers for their silence on the brutal countryside of Israel in Gaza.
“The United States has not clarified its position. When the major powers do not do so, it clearly encourages state terrorism,” said Fazl.
“America supported Israel. It remained silent on the massacre of 60,000 people,” he added.
“If he considers that Israel’s actions are justified, then why did it push Saddam Hussein’s hanging or prompted the rebellion against Muammar Gaddafi?” he asked rhetorically.
Fazl said America is not continuing its own interests and has nothing to do with humanity.
He continued to emphasize that the fronts on fronts conceive their own war strategies and rejected the concerns of climbing nuclear conflicts.
