The epicenter was located 34 kilometers west of Ashkāsham, Afghanistan, at a depth of 233.7 kilometers under the Hindu mountains of Kush.
Due to the depth of the earthquake, its surface impact was limited.
No victim or material damage has been reported in Pakistan, although residents in areas such as the Chitral, the upper Dirt and the neighboring valleys have experienced light jerks.
The region is located in an active seismic area where deep earthquakes are common, often causing wide but soft tremors.
The northwest land of Pakistan, lying near the tectonic collision area, regularly lives such seismic events.
