The abyssal beginning of Colorado rocky in their campaign in 2025 reached a new hollow on Saturday, when they fell to the Padres de San Diego, 21-0, in Coors Field, marking the worst defeat of the team in the history of the franchise.
While the paadres poured it, MLB fans could not believe what they were looking at and their voices were heard on social networks
The product in the field was excruciating all year round, because their record of 6-33 is by far the worst of the MLB. But a football score was on the set at Coors Field, and fans of the Rockies in the stands, which were much more numerous than the supporters of Padres, sang change.

“The Rockies lose 19-0 at the bottom of the fifth,” displayed an X user. “The crowd sings:” Sell the team, sell the team. “”
This is not the first time that the owner of the Rockies, Dick Monfort, has heard songs to sell his team, because they have not had a victory record since 2018, losing more than 100 games in each of the last two seasons.
Denver Gazette’s longtime columnist Woody Paige gave his point of view after watching the match on Saturday.
MLB round table: Are there any good teams in the Al West? Are the giants legitimate?
“Dick Monfort delusional said before the rare rock -shaped season could have the best defense in the history of baseball”, wrote Paige on X. “Roxhead was just a little outside. Rockies lead MLB in errors and are the last in percentage.
A young child held a sign in the stands that said: “My arm is rested if necessary!” Show how desperate fans are to see a good product.
“Send the Rockies to Triple-A,” said another X user.
“The leagues should intervene and take the inept property teams, McCourt Style,” wrote another. “The property of the Rockies is simply no longer worthy of this team. [Nolan] Arenado’s trade was the absolute end. “”

On the other hand, some have noticed that there were still a lot of fans in the stands despite the horrible deficit. Just look at the crowd when Padres star Fernando Tatis Jr. hit a three-point circuit to do it 19-0.
A fan gave a perspective on the reason why Monfort would never sell.
“It is 20-0 #pades in sixth round and the fans make the wave that has the time of their lives,” posted an X user. “This is why the monfits will not sell #rockies. Fans do not care. Good weather, beer, etc. Pathetic for a real baseball fan.”
One of these real baseball fans urged rocky supporters to stop going to games after watching last night.
“As a native of Colorado, it is absolutely embarrassing that people always go to games, then complain how bad they are,” he wrote. “… You are the reason why the Monforts will not sell. Stop assisting and giving them money.”
In the end, at least the Rocky social media team is trying to find a way to shed light on the situation.

The MLB record for most losses in a single year – 121 – was established by the White Sox of Chicago in 2024.
The rocks seem to be heading with this disc.
