Colorado Rockies have become the second team in a week to make a change in the canoe in the middle of a terrible start for the 2025 season.
The Rockies have announced that they separated from the Manager Bud Black and the Bench coach Mike Redmond. The coach of the third base Warren Schaeffer was appointed acting director, while Clint Hurdle was appointed interim bench coach.

“Our game so far this season, especially after the last two seasons, has been unacceptable,” said the owner of the Rockie team Dick Monfort in a statement. “Our fans deserve better, and we are able to better. Although we all share the responsibility for the way this season has taken place, these changes are necessary.
“We will use the rest of 2025 to improve where we can in the field and to assess all the areas of our operation so that we can properly transform the page into the next chapter of rocky baseball.”

The Colorado underwent an embarrassing defeat of 21-0 against the Padres of San Diego. The team obtained a Sunday 9-3 on Sunday. It was only their seventh victory of the season in 40 games. The opposing teams had a day on the field against the Rockies. The team’s racing differential is -128. Colorado only scored 133 points this season.
The Rockies have not made the playoffs since the 2018 season. It was also the last time that the team has finished more than 0,500. The Colorado had 61-101 last season after finishing 59-103 in 2023.
Black took the position of manager in 2017. He was 544-690 in more than eight years at the helm.

The Rockies have been the second team to fire their manager in the last seven days. The pirates dismissed Derek Shelton earlier in the week.
