Kabul:
In the current tension between Islamabad and Dehli, Pakistan’s special envoy to Afghanistan Mohammad Sadiq Khan succeeded in his diplomacy to ensure peace on the western border of the country, sources announced on Sunday.
An unexpected support from a peaceful western border came when the special envoy for Afghanistan and its Chinese counterpart were in Kabul to improve regional connectivity by including Kabul in the flagship belt and road (BRI) initiative.
Sunday, Sunday, the first in a series of trilateral meetings, involving the envoys of China and Pakistan with the senior officials of the Afghan Taliban government. The meeting of the Kabul Interior Ministry was frequented by the Minister of the Interior Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, Yue Xiaoyong, the special envoy of China, and Muhammad Sadiq, special envoy of Pakistan, as well as their delegations.
The meeting was summoned to follow the discussions during the fifth trilateral dialogue between the foreign ministers of the three countries, to prepare for the sixth round to come and to improve the broader political and economic cooperation between them.
During the meeting, Haqqani stressed the importance of strengthening the regional ties, declaring that from the point of view of Kabul, the progress of economic and political relations, as well as regional understanding, could be obtained thanks to mutual respect and a constructive commitment.
The special envoys of China and Pakistan have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen good neighborhood relations and to promote cooperation with Afghanistan according to mutual engagement. They also agreed that the sixth round of the trilateral dialogue of foreign ministers would take place in Kabul.
In addition, the Minister of the Interior Haqqani provided a peaceful Western border during the tension between Pakistan and India, according to sources familiar with development.
The envoys of Pakistan and China also met the Afghan Affght Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi. On this occasion, there was a convergence of opinions on the economy between them on questions relating to security cooperation as well as regional stability.
The Afghan Minister by the Acting Afghans assured Islamabad “unshakable support” of Kabul during tension. Pakistani and Chinese envoys also met the Afghan Minister of Commerce
Publish the two parties have also met. As part of our ongoing trilateral commitments, I joined the Chinese special representative at a meeting with the Minister of Commerce Nooruddin Azizi and discussed questions relating to the expansion of the Chinese Pakistani Economic Corridor (CPEC) and other related questions.
