Belal Muhammad was involved in a Slobber shot with Jake Della Maddalena at the UFC 315, and Haymaker after Haymaker left the fighter with horrible cups on his face.
Della Maddalena defeated Muhammad via a unanimous decision to win the UFC Welter weight championship – a title Muhammad held for 287 days.

UFC president Dana White showed the extent of Muhammad’s injuries in an article on his Instagram stories on Sunday. He said that Muhammad had undergone a broken nose and a broken orbital bone as well as a divided upper lip. Muhammad also had a notch under the left eye.
“What a war !!!” White subtitles the photo.
It was the first loss of Muhammad since he underwent unanimous loss of decision against Geoff Neal in January 2019. He fought Leon Edwards to a non-counter in March 2021. The judges marked the fight 48-47, 48-47 and 49-46.

Muhammad swore to be back.
“The plan of Allah is the best plan,” wrote Muhammad in an article on X. “Alhamdillah for everything. Thank you to all my supporters. I am here before and I will come back.”

Edwards, Sean Brady, Shavkat Rakhmonov and Ian Machado Garry could all be potential opponents for the belt after Della Maddalena’s victory.
