Lahore: President of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, officially appointed former New Zealand cricket player Mike Hesson as a chief coach of the Pakistani-Ball teams, PK Press Club Super reported.
The appointment comes into force from May 26.
“I am happy to announce the appointment of the former New Zealand cricket player and the renowned coach Mike Hesson as a White-Bay-Bay-Back-to-white team from the Pakistani male team,” said Naqvi in an article on X.

“Mike brings with him a wealth of international experience and a proven history of the development of competitive sides. We are impatiently awaiting his expertise and leadership to shape the future of the white ball cricket of Pakistan. Welcome to the team, Mike!”
The appointment of Hesson became before the T20I series of five games from Pakistan against Bangladesh this month.
However, with the revised calendar of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10, which now has its grand finale on May 25, the T20i series against Bangladesh should be delayed.
The opening match in Faisalabad was initially scheduled for May 25, but the series will be postponed with the final overlap of the PSL.
The kiwi cricket player brings a richness of experience to this role. He was chief coach of New Zealand from 2012 to 2018, succeeding John Wright.
Under its direction, New Zealand was a significant success on the world scene. Hesson also led to the Premier Indian League at high pressure (IPL), more solidifying his references as a coach capable of prospering in difficult environments.
