Nintendo has confirmed that Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con 2 controllers can be used for home menu navigation.
The new feature was revealed on the Nintendo Today application alongside a demonstration video that showed that Joy-Con 2 mouse controls were used on the pocket computer as a PC mouse.
Users can detach a Joy-Con 2, place it on a flat surface and move it like a wireless mouse.
According to the instructions on the screen, the cursor appears automatically when placed laterally with the fixing side down, and the analog sticks can be used to scroll.
To return to regular checks, users will only have to take over the Joy-Con 2, as shown in the video.
“To display the cursor, adjust the Joy-Con 2 to a flat table or surface and move it as indicated,” said the post. “Using mouse commands, you can tilt the control stick to scroll through the menus.”
It also indicates that players can “use mouse checks in the home menu and in compatible software”, as Metroid Prime 4: Beyond.

A ton of third -party titles arrive at the Nintendo Switch 2, including Cyberpunk 2077. Last week, CD Projekt Red confirmed that the game will also offer mouse features, allowing players to detach a Joy-Con 2 to handle a katana to attack enemies and deflect incoming attacks.
