- The new triple camera unit has a greater amplitude of movement than before
- It can film fixed images of 100 MP and 6K 60FPS HDR
- DJI also announced the RC Pro 2 controller with a 7 -inch rotary screen
Dji unveiled the Mavic 4 Pro, an improved triple camera drone for advanced pilots in search of a versatile and high quality aerial photography experience.
We have already tested the Mavic 4 Pro with the new RC Pro 2 remote control which was announced at the same time, and it is simply the drone of the most impressive prosumer camera that we have ever used – see our Mavic 4 pro review in depth.
It updates our previous favorite camera drone, the DJI Mavic 3 Pro, with a new 28 mm main camera that packs a third-party micro-four quality sensor and lenses with an adjustable opening, and delivers fixed images of 100 MP / 25MP and an HDR 6K 60FPS video with a dynamic range up to 16EV.
Then, there is the 168 mm telephoto lens camera with a update sensor of 1 / 1.5 inch 50MP / 12.5 MP, plus the same camera half-Tephoto of 70 mm with a 1 / 1.3 inch sensor and 48MP / 12MP fixed images. These two telephoto cameras run an HDR 4K 60FPS HDR video, while the three cameras can shoot a video with 4K slow motion to 4x, with D-Log colors.
The icing on the camera cake is the versatile camera unit and the cardan, which can continuously run 360 degrees on the roller axis, and it offers a 160 degree tilt beach with an ascending 70 -degree inclination for new perspectives.
The camera can also run 90 degrees for vertical shooting in order to make the full use of the image sensor, which makes it ideal for social content. Previously, users should reframe the central vertical part of a horizontal frame for vertical modifications, at the price of pixels.
In addition to its aerial photography skills, the Mavic 4 Pro follows the air 3S with a detection of Lidar Omnidirectional objects, which makes it the safest Mavic drone to fly, especially at night, twilight and dawn.
There is also increased power, for a maximum flight time of 51 minutes and faster load speeds, plus back home without the need for GPS, DJI O4 +, which provides a 10 km 10 km HDR video transmission range and a neat Activtrack mode with car recognition.
Overall, it is a solid upgrade with camera skills at the head of the class.
American customers are preparing to miss, at least at least
The Mavic 4 Pro is a very impressive flagship drone, with a relatively reasonable list price from £ 1,879 / $ 3.099 to a packet that includes the RC 2. as always, the more expensive combos of combos are available. However, this is not good news for everyone.
We interviewed DJI on prices and availability for the United States, and a DJI spokesperson told us: “The DJI Mavic 4 Pro will not be available for sale in the United States when it was global launch on May 13. Like many global companies, we had to adjust our market strategy because local conditions and the environment of industry have evolved. Although we have a work to explain the product.
Dji is therefore not completely excluded the Mavic 4 Pro Landing in the United States, but clearly the uncertainties around American prices hit Chinese exports, as well as a potential DJI drone prohibition, combined to create a volatile and unfavorable market for the brand. If the new drone does not appear in the United States, it would be a big problem, because it would be the first time that a DJI product was not launched.
Alongside the Mavic 4 Pro, DJI has unveiled the new RC Pro 2 remote control, an impressive kit bit that has an rotary 7 -inch touch screen and maximum brightness of 2000 nits. The RC Pro 2 costs £ 879 / $ 1,529 at; Again, the prices and availability of the United States are TBC.
The appearance of the drone and the controller is as good as for the drone pilots Prosumer – Dji has again lifted the bar for the performance of the drone.
