NCAA President Charlie Baker said on Monday that he was “standing for anything” when it was asked for information that President Donald Trump is to create a commission on university sports.
The presidential committee would attack the problems with which the sports landscape of the college is faced with the former football coach of Alabama Crimson Tide Nick Saban and the billionaire Cody Campbell who directed it, Yahoo Sports reported last week.

“I think that the fact that there is an interest in this subject, I think that it testifies to the fact that everyone pays a lot of attention with regard to university sports,” said Baker, via Raleigh News & Observer. “There is a lot of things going on, it’s not all bad, and I’m ready for everything that helps us get somewhere.”
The commissioners of the best NCAA conferences have already asked the Congress to intervene to help the NCAA regulate the name, image and resemblance (Nile) and the transfer portal.
Greg Sankey, Jim Phillips, Tony Petitti and Brett Yormmark were on Capitol Hill last month. Yormmark, the Big 12 commissioner, admitted Bret Bare Baier on “Special Report”, “we need help from Congress”.
“From where I sit today, federal pre-emption, having a standardized platform that supervises and RĂ©git Nile is of crucial importance,” said Yormark. “Today, 34 states see it very differently, and it is relatively unruly.”

Charles Barkley calls the NCAA a “ group of idiots and crazy ” in the middle of the current Nile landscape
“The volume of laws adopted at the state level makes us really difficult for us to regulate and compete at the national level,” added Petitti. “Whenever someone does not like a decision, or something comes from the NCAA, we find ourselves in dispute. These rules are then aggregated, and we are back at the start.
“We hope that the combination of what we have done in the regulations will give us an opportunity, with the help of Congress, to really put a system in a place that has a certain stability.
“We have gone through the bridge to be willing to provide income … but we must have a certain structure. We cannot have a system that has a complete unregulated movement.”
It is not known when the commission is finalized.
