The National Hockey League announced Tuesday that a minority owner of the Florida Panthers had been suspended due to its activity on social networks.
Doug Cifu entered a sputum with a fan of Toronto Maple Leafs who turned into discussion on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and Cifa mentioning Canada as the “51st state”.
Florida and Toronto are currently faced in the second round of the Stanley Cup qualifiers.

CIFU then made its private account and disabled its account.
“Two days ago, I published regrettable and inflammatory comments on social networks. My behavior does not reflect the standards of the organization of Florida Panthers and the family of the viola. I sincerely apologize to all those affected by my comments. I am committed to working with the NHL to modify my actions.”
