It’s almost time to see your eyes again. A new trailer for James Gunn Superman The film will be released very soon, and I could not be more excited to see more one of the most awaited new films of this year.
As Gunn confirmed on social networks (see below), the trailer for DC Universe film (DCU) will make its debut this Wednesday, May 14. The new teaser should be broadcast during the Upfront 2025 presentation of Warner Bros before being released online immediately after.
Despite the spoilers of history, there are many new images that Gunn could tease SupermanThe next trailer. The film 1 film of the DCU would have an execution time of about two and a half hours, so we should be treated with a lot of new blows to pore and theorize.
Before its release, here are three things I want to see, and something I think should be avoided Supermanthe official trailer.
1. Talk
Gunn’s first trailer Superman The film, arrived last December, was full of great moments. However, apart from a few lines pronounced by David Corenswet, who plays Clark Kent / The Holder Kryptonian, we have heard none of the other members of the film distribution.
SupermanThe next teaser should rectify this. His first batch of sequences also consisted in setting up the tone and the atmosphere that Gunn aims with his latest feature film.
With this firmly established now, it is time that we have heard what Lois Lane by Rachel Brosnahan and Lex Luthor of Nicholas Hoult look like, especially if they have permeated their version of these emblematic characters with accents that we may not expect.
Update: Since this article was put online, a 15 -second teaser for SupermanThe next trailer contains a brief clip from the Luthor de Hoult. All he says is “great … man” but, hey, it’s something to drop us off until tomorrow!
2. Less superman, plus Clark Kent
Surprising person, the first Superman The teaser trailer largely included Clark Kent clips performing superhero acts. We all want to see the eponymous hero do good, after all.
That said, some of Superman’s best stories, literary or other, have explored his civil life as much as his heroic acts. So, I would like to see the next series of film sequences show us more from Clark’s life outside of its superhero exploits.
The first trailer suggested that Gunn will look at this daily aspect of the character, including the work of Clark’s day as a traveling journalist for the Daily Planet newspaper and spending time at home with his adoptive human parents. However, we do not know how many civil life will be examined in SupermanSo new images of that would not be bad in his next trailer.
3. Justice for justice League International
Before the release of the first trailer, we had seen what some of the heroes of Sups would look like in this film. Indeed, disclosed images of Monsieur d’Edi Gathegi formidable last June were followed by pictures of the first look of Hawkgirl of Isabela Merced and the Lantern Hal Jordan / Green of Nathan Fillion about a week later.
SupermanThe inaugural trailer, however, was quite light by giving us better look at these characters and another superpowered being in the metamorpho of Anthony Carrigan. In fact, apart from a few flashes and you will miss shots, they were largely absent from the said trailer.
With this quartet defined to play support roles – we don’t know how much they will appear, be careful – be careful – SupermanIt would be good if the next trailer of the film showed more in action and / or conversing with the steel man himself. I certainly expect that there is melodrama between this super team and corporate managed sudas, so give us a taste of what it will look like, please, Mr. Gunn.
4. More krypto
Season 1 of Creature commandos could have been the first DCU project to be published, but Superman is positioned as the project which officially launches the DCU when it was released in July.
Gunn and the Company also label the construction of the film as “Summer of Superman”. But, while Krypton’s son is the example of the film, it is undeniable that he was (and will probably continue to be) compared to his noisy canine companion Krypto by launch day.
We know that Krypto would appear in Superman Since Images disclosed by Monsieur formidable the following surfaced in July 2024. Krypto won everyone’s heart since then, with a most faithful friend of Kent flying the show in the first trailer of Superman and last clip which revealed a breathtaking look at the fortress of loneliness.
Obviously, Krypto is one of the SupermanThe most marketable assets, it is therefore logical to put it at the center of all promotional documents before the film’s release. So I expect the unruly and overexcitable puppy therefore dropped online.
As I mentioned earlier, Superman Apparently a time at around 150 minutes when he flies in theaters in less than two months. Of course, his execution time could change by then when Gunn locks in his final cup, but do not worry at the moment.
If one of the best superhero films (potentially, anyway) of 2025 is so long, his last trailer is a main opportunity to show us many new and non-spoiler images. So I hope that the trailer No. 2 will not contain any clips or prior sequence that we have seen in its predecessor or other marketing media.
That said, I expect a shot or two to be reused from the first trailer. It is a rarity for new teasers to be made up of completely new sequences that we have never seen before, but it would make a refreshing change if SupermanThe last trailer did not reworked his images from his ancestor. You have a lot of sequences at your disposal, Mr. Gunn, so use it!
