Tati Gabrielle, Naughty Dog’s star Intergalactic: the heretical prophetrevealed that director Neil Druckmann was “Botcomp-on Me” for online hatred.
Speaking in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Gabrielle shared that she was aware of hatred The last of us: Part 2 The actors, like Laura Bailey, Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker, received in 2020 for their roles in the game, and that Druckmann prepared it for a similar situation.
“Neil made me bootcamp,” said Gabrielle. “I know Troy’s experience, I know Ashley’s experience … I know Laura Bailey’s experience.”
When The last of us: Part 2 Was released, Bailey received threats from hatred and online death against herself and her newborn son for playing the character Abby, who kills Joel Miller. After Intergalactic was officially announced last year alongside a trailer which revealed that the character of Gabrielle, Jordan a Mun, the actress said that she had also received hatred, including racist and misogynist comments, for her role.
“I have a lot of love,” said Gabrielle, “but there was a lot of hatred on me being a woman, me being a woman of color, I was shaved my head, all these things that I did not even see at the start – I got out of social media so that we are, we are going to do something.
Intergalactic: the heretical prophet is Gabrielle’s first video game role, and she explained that she was preparing for the new company.
“It’s a world – video games – in which I have never entered it before. So I don’t want to put something in my mind to expect it to be so and then that is not the case, and then I am not prepared or that I take it too light
Earlier this year, Druckmann revealed that the new game of Naughty Dog is “a game on faith and religion”. Gabrielle also discussed these themes in her interview with EW, but said it was not what the players expect.
“The question of faith is not in black and white,” said Gabrielle. “When you initially think of faith, you think of religion, which is one of them, but there is also self -confidence. There is confidence in your environment or your community.
Intergalactic: the heretical prophet does not yet have a release date, but we can expect the game to start on PS5.
