The number of members of martyred staff during the cross-border attacks of India against Azad Jammu-et-Cachemire (AJK) and the Pakistani territory during the recent military confrontation increased to 13, said inter-service public relations (ISPR) on Wednesday.
“The blatant and loose aggression of the Indian armed forces, launched in the night of May 6 to 7, 2025, targeted innocent civilians, including women, children and the elderly,” said the ISPR, referring to the uninsured Indian aggression.
“While defending the fatherland with exemplary courage and an unshakable resolution, two most valiant sons of the ground, who had been hospitalized,” kissed Shahadat today.

The ISPR continued, declaring: “The heroes martyrs are Havaldar Muhammad Naveed Shaheed from the Pakistani army and Muhammad Ayaz Shaheed of the Pakistani Air Force.”
While paying tribute to the brave martyrs and extending sincere condolences to the bereaved families, the soldiers concluded: “Their noble sacrifice is a timeless testimony to their courage, their dedication to duty and unshakable patriotism. Their sacrifice will remain forever engraved in the collective memory of the country, inspiring future generations. “”
Tensions between India and Pakistan intensified after the attack on April 22 in Pahalgam, India illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (iiojk), which killed 26 people. India blamed the elements of Pakistan for assault but has provided no evidence. Islamabad firmly denied allegations.
On April 23, India closed the border crossing of Wagah, revoked Pakistani visas and announced the suspension of the Industry Water Treaty. Pakistan condemned this decision as an “act of war” and responded by sealing the border of Wagah on its side.
The confrontation then broke out on May 6 to 7 while India was launching its attack on Pakistan, which has moved away from the most serious military confrontation between neighbors for decades.

In what has been described as decisive actions against Indian aggression, Pakistan reported that it had targeted 26 military sites in India with security sources adding that several general districts of Indian brigade and battalion have also been destroyed along the control line (LOC).
After a diplomatic intervention led by Washington, the two parties agreed to stop military activity through land, air and sea. However, hours after the truce, fresh skirmishes were reported on both sides of the loc.
