Surfshark has just unveiled a considerable upgrade of its dedicated IP function, expanding the offer with seven new locations.
This means that you can now choose your unique static IP address between 20 locations in the world and take advantage of the protection of one of the best VPN services on the market, alongside the advantages of a fixed IP.
The dedicated Surfhark IP is an additional paid feature available on Android, Windows, iOS and MacOS which supports all the main protocols, including Wireguard, for maximum speed and performance.
Surfshark dedicated IP locations
As Justas Pukys, Senior Surfshark Product Manager explains, the dedicated IP demand for surfhark has increased rapidly, especially among major cities in the world.
This is why the company has decided to enlarge its network with seven additional locations to “bring this functionality closer to users in key regions of the world”, notes the supplier.
New dedicated IPs are then available in the United States (Denver, New York, Las Vegas), Brazil (São Paulo), Poland (Warsaw), Singapore (Singapore) and Turkey (Istanbul).
These add to the 13 locations already included in the offering, which are: the United States (San Jose, Los Angeles, Dallas), Canada (Toronto), the United Kingdom (London), Netherlands (Amsterdam), Germany (Francfurt), France (Paris), Italy (Milan), Japan (Tokyo), Hong Kong (Hong Kong) (Sydney), and South Africa (Johangs).
More and more locations should also be published soon while Surfshark seeks to continue to extend its dedicated IP function to meet the needs of users.
Why use dedicated Surfshark IP
IP use is one of the main capacities of virtual private network tools (VPN). Without dedicated intellectual property, however, VPNs will connect users to a random IP address located in the country or city, they want their traffic to be released.

“This feature allows users to dissociate their dedicated IP from their email address, ensuring that even Surfshark remains unconscious of the identity of the owner of intellectual property,” said Pukys in Techradar in 2023, when the IP dedicated to Surfshark was launched for the first time.
