PM ready to talk about peace after the military triumph of India

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Thursday that Pakistan was ready for dialogue with India for peace, but that talks should be on the issue of cashmere and for the granting of the right to self -determination to cashmericis.

He made the offer while speaking to pilots and staff of the Pakistan Air Force during a special visit to the Kamra air base.

He said Pakistan was ready for talks with India to reach peace, but he had certain conditions.

He asked India to speak on the issue of cashmere, adding that the people of occupied cashmere should have their right to self-determination according to the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.

The Kashmir Freedom Movement was very alive, he pointed out and added that Pakistan was wrongly accused of the Pahalgam incident.

Pakistan wanted a transparent investigation into the incident, but India used the assault instead of conducting an investigation into the incident, he continued.

The Prime Minister visited the air base to assess Pakistan Air Force which managed to defend the nation during one of the longest air commitments of the 21st century, firmly establishing the air superiority in Pakistan by lowering the Indian planes in a critical defense operation.

He praised the bravery and skill of the “Shaheens” (Falcons) of the PAF, whose rapid and decisive action broke the illusion of enemy’s air domination during the confrontation with high issues.

Addressing PAF pilots, he said: “The whole nation is proud of your courage. You have not only defended our sky, but also the maintenance of the honor of Pakistan on the world stage.”

The Prime Minister was accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Minister of Defense Khawaja Asif, Chief of Staff of the Syed Asim Munnir Army, Chief of the Air Staff, Marshal Air Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, Official Commander.

He said that from May 6 to 10, during the war with India, the whole world was amazed by the professional capacities of the armed forces and that the enemy was surprised with Pakistan’s response.

The confidence of the world in particular of our friends has strengthened in Pakistan after the way he responded to Indian assault, he noted.

He said it was the most magnificent victory that changed the thought of the world and changed the balance of powers in the region.

Residents of Pakistan were proud of the performance of the armed forces and their heads were raised with pride, he added.

He said that a clear message had been sent to the enemy that he should refrain from taking a bad eyes to Pakistan.

He congratulated the chief of staff of the army, the air chief and the naval chief for the brilliant performance of the armed forces.

The whole world has recognized that Pakistan had won war with cultivated home technology and professional expertise in the armed forces, he added.

The Prime Minister said that the eagles of the armed forces have shot down six enemy planes, adding: “Our armed forces have defeated an enemy who was greater in terms of population and that he had bought hundreds of billions of dollars in military equipment in recent years.”

He said Pakistan had crushed the false vanity of the enemy. “During the short war, in just a few hours, the armed forces with courage, bravery and valor changed the course of history for all the moments to come.”

He said the whole world looked at the Pakistan flag with respect.

The whole nation was united and prayed for the success of the armed forces and the country, he said, adding the way in which the air forces have shot the enemy’s dumping planes, the world would remember the spectacle of eternity.

While quoting Quranics verses, he said that the JF Thunder plane had shot down the Rafale Air plane of India which recalled the memories of the legends of the Pakistani Air Force like MM Alam, Cecil Chaudhry and Sarfraz Rafiqui, who have demonstrated an exceptional shine in a previous war against India.

“In the wake of an uninsured assault, the armed forces of Pakistan showed exemplary reservoir, strategic foresight and operational precision. Their rapid and calibrated response not only neutralized the threat, but also gave a decisive blow to hostile military infrastructure.

He said that the chief of staff of the army, General Asim Munir, led the armed forces of the front.

“The whole nation is proud of the value and the vigilance of its armed forces. Under the stewardship capable of the chief of staff of the army, our defenders have once again stressed that the security of Pakistan is inviolable, and any act of belligerent will be welcomed with a force, resolved and impermeant,” he added.

Stressing the operational success of Pakistan Air Force, the Prime Minister added: “Confirmation of a successful drop in a sixth Indian plane on the night of May 6, 2,000, a Mirage-2000 near Pampere east of Srinagar, also testifies to the excellence of combat of the PAF and the unfailing resolution of our armed forces to protect the kindergarten at any cost.”

He praised the visionary leadership of the marshal of the air chief Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, recognizing his pivotal role in the modernization of the PAF and the lance of the transparent integration of advanced technologies which considerably improved the operational capacities of the force.

In tribute to aviators, the Prime Minister observed: “To our intrepid pilots and our dedicated airlines – your courage and your precision embody the indomitable spirit of the armed forces of Pakistan.

Reaffirming the collective determination of the government and the nation, the Prime Minister said: “The Armed Forces of Pakistan remain fully prepared and resolutely committed to defending every centimeter from our territory. Any aggression will be countered with a timely, proportionate and decisive response. We will hold on, vigilant and not to say for the defense of our country.”

The coordination between the branches of the armed forces was exemplary, he said that the addition of the Pakistani navy was ready to respond to the assault of the enemy as it did in 1965.

The Prime Minister said the nation would never forget the sacrifices of its armed forces.

He said that Pakistan had acted with patience and tolerance in the face of the assault of the enemy who rejected the peace offer and launched an attack that was responded with forces.

The enemy has targeted children, mothers and innocent young people who were not mistaken, he said, adding with precision the forces of Pakistan have precisely targeted the military facilities of the enemy.

He clearly indicated that peace was the desire of Pakistan, but the enemy should not see him as weakness.

He assured that the government would take care of the heirs of the staff of the armed forces who were martyred.

Speaking of acts of terrorism in Pakistan, he said that India had played a role in the hijacking in Balutchistan.

An Indian officer was involved in the Samjotha Express incident, he recalls, adding that everyone knew who was involved in the formation of Mukti Bahini in Pakistan at the time.

He said that Pakistan had suffered enormously during the war against terrorism and that India had contributed to it.

During the visit, the Prime Minister received a complete briefing on the operational preparation and the combat capacities of Pakistan Air Force. He got involved with front -line staff – including drivers, engineers and technical staff and expressed a profound appreciation for their professionalism, precision and firm dedication to national defense.
