- The not covered systems create a risk of serious cybersecurity that most companies are not ready
- Cloudhouse warns against sleepwalking in a crisis while companies ignore the Microsoft Win 10 deadline
- Confidence is low even among the prepared companies, with only 19% feeling fully equipped
With less than half a year remaining before Microsoft ends the management of Windows 10 and Teams Classic, many British companies do not seem prepared for the consequences.
According to Cloudhouse, a significant number of organizations in the United Kingdom ignore the deadline for approach or still lack a concrete transition plan.
Only 38% of those questioned said they had a defined migration strategy, while an additional 30% said they were still in the decision -making process. Even more worrying, 14% admitted that they had not examined the problem at all, and 18% completely ignored that support ended.
Cyber-risk increases as the deadline approach
When Windows 10 reached the end of life on October 14, 2025, it could create a potentially dangerous situation for companies based on obsolete systems to manage sensitive data or critical operations.
“This is a time bomb for businesses. The lack of awareness and preparation that we see suggests that many organizations are sorted in a major security and operational crisis, “said Mat Clothier, CEO of Cloudhouse.
“The migration or management of inherited systems seems complex, but the alternative – operating on unwanted platforms – is a direct route to risk exposure, ineffectiveness and non -compliance.
Even among those who are aware of the deadline, confidence remains low. Only 19% believe that their organization is fully equipped to manage the security risks associated with not supported systems.
The largest group, 42%, only feels “somewhat prepared”, which may not be sufficient when the deadline arrives.
Cloudhouse responded by launching an end -of -life and advice line service, designed to help companies quickly assess their current IT environments and explore migration options with minimal cost and disruption.
The coming months will be critical. Without action, companies are likely to expose yourself to cybermenaces at a time when attacks are becoming more and more common and sophisticated.
The question is now not to know if the management of Windows 10 will end or how attractive Windows 11, but how many companies will be ready when they do. For some, the clock can already be too close to midnight. Nevertheless, here is a count in six stages of Windows 10 EOL and how to prepare for it.
