In the midst of a festive national mood after the military success of Pakistan against India at the borders, the senior PPP manager Qamar Zaman Kaira, without naming PTI, said that it was high time to fill the political gap. He advised Khan’s party to make amends and called on the government to adopt a policy of forgiveness.
At the same press conference, the secretary general of the central PPP of Punjab, Syed Hasan Murtaza, blowing the Minister of Information of Punjab, Azma Bukhari, for having credited Nawaz Sharif of war planning, “said that” at least he should be within certain limits “. Murtaza said that the real credit for the defense of invincible Pakistan belonged to the management of the PPP. “If there is a part that played a role in the strengthening of the defense of Pakistan-of the signing of the memorandum of understanding for the JF-17 to the construction of heavy industries, from weapons to tanks, from the missile planes-it is the PPP,” he said.
He credited the late Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and late Benazir Bhutto, saying that Bhutto launched the atomic program of Pakistan, a decision that finally cost him his life. “Everyone can explode a bomb and assign the credit.”
Mountaza said other parties could best take credit for simply continuing the defense programs launched by PPP governments. “Others should try to claim their success by publishing photos,” he added. He also took a jibe to Rana Sanaullah to “wrongly affirm that the war was over on May 7”.
He said that if the Prime Minister claims the merit of having shot down six aircraft, he should also assume the responsibility of the seventh – “the Adiala plane”, which he described as a creation of the Modi Indian and Netanyahu of Israel.
Earlier, while commenting on the Indo-Pak conflict, Qamar Zaman Kaira, a member of the central executive committee of the PPP, said that despite the Jingism of India, he should finally come to the negotiation table.
He stressed that sustainable peace in the region is not possible without solving the problem of cashmere. “India should implement its plebiscite promise to the cashmere nation and management,” he said, adding that PPP wants the question to be settled through negotiations.
Addressing the media at the residence of the assistant secretary general of the central PUNJAB of the PPP, Usman Malik – alongside Syed Hasan Murtaza, Chaudhry Manzoor Ahmed and Chaudhry Aslam Gul – Kaira said that the PPP has united a broken country.
He said: “Bhutto has laid the foundations for a solid defense system and a heavy chemical complex. JF-17 Thunder is under construction in this HMC. Bibi Shaheed has brought missile technology to Pakistan. Asif Zardari has revived Pak-China friend as president.”
He added that China now supports Pakistan both financially and defensive: “The work launched by Bhutto Shaheed was completed by Asif Zardari, while Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, as Minister of Foreign Affairs, fought for the cause of Pakistan as his grandfather and mother.”
The former federal minister said that despite being a major victim of terrorism, “we want to cooperate to end it”. He said: “It is not a credit war. Bhutto had created a broken country and a defeated nation. Instead of erasing someone’s line, I should follow my own line.”
Kaira stressed that, to create a lasting sense of unity, “the political parties of the country, alluding to PTI, should make introspection and seek forgiveness, and the government and institutions should also adopt a policy of forgiveness”.
