The former Pakistani captain and the famous versatile Shahid Khan Afridi met the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

During this meeting, which took place at the Prime Minister’s house in Islamabad, Shahid Afridi congratulated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for the remarkable success of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos.

Federal Minister of Information, Attaullah Tarar, was also present at the meeting. Shahid Khan Afridi congratulated the armed forces for giving a strong response to the assault of India.

He said that at that critical moment, the whole nation united and gave the enemy a powerful response. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked Shahid Afridi, congratulated him on her solidarity with the nation and the armed forces, and praised the successful rally that took place.

Previously, Shahid Afridi has greatly criticized India for a period of increased tensions between the two countries. Afridi condemned the Indian government for its assault and expressed its confidence in the strength and preparation of the military in Pakistan.

He rejected the threats of India, saying that the forces of Pakistan were highly formed and not easily intimidated. Responding to the accusations connecting Pakistan to the attack on Pahalgam, Afridi described it as a “false flag operation” and labeled the Modi “inept” government.

After its remarks, India would have blocked the Afrida YouTube channel, as well as 15 other Pakistani channels, including those of former Rashid Latif cricket players, Shoaib Akhtar and Basit Ali.

Afridi was also unleashed in the Indian media for its exaggerated war cover, referring it to journalism of “cartoon network”. His comments resonated with many Pakistanis who thought that Indian radiudiffusers fueled conflicts rather than making reports in a responsible manner.

Speaking during a rally in Karachi, Afridi praised the armed forces of Pakistan for what he described as a strong response to Indian assault, declaring that India had underestimated the cost of the provocation of Pakistan. He accused Indian forces of targeting civilians and religious sites, including mosques.

Afridi has also criticized Modi’s global image, referring to the allegations linked to attacks on Sikhs abroad. He said Modi was now faced with international consequences for his actions.

The rally, which is part of the “Youm-E-Tashur” said by the government (day of gratitude), saw thousands of citizens express their support for the armed forces.

Tensions between Pakistan and India recently flared after an attack in Pahalgam, India, he illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (Iiojk), killed 26 people. India blamed Pakistan without providing evidence, triggering a series of reprisal movements, in particular the suspension of the Industry Water Treaty, the cancellation of visas and the reduction of diplomatic links.

Pakistan rejected the allegations and responded with reciprocal stages such as stopping trade and the closure of its airspace to Indian planes. The conflict intensified on May 7 with Indian missile strikes in several cities in Punjab and AJK, killing dozens of civilians.

Pakistan responded by slaughtering several Indian jets and neutralizing drone attacks. On May 10, Indian missile strikes targeted Pakistani air bases, which prompted a reprisal campaign – operation Bunyan Marsoos – which struck the Indian military sites.

A ceasefire was announced by US President Donald Trump on May 11, following night diplomatic efforts, and was then confirmed by officials on both sides.
