- Chinese company Damoda has provided technology for the celebration of Vietnam Liberation Day

Vietnam has set a new world record Guinness with a drone light show involving 10,518 synchronized drones.
The display, which took place in Ho Chi Minh City on April 28, 2025, commemorated the 50th anniversary of the Southern Liberation and the National Reunification.
The certified record, officially recognized by Guinness as the “largest drone light show by number of drones flying simultaneously”. seems to come from a rehearsal before an official public event scheduled for April 30, which was then canceled.
Celebrate the history of Vietnam
AV magazine Reddit user reports hypothesized that the cancellation had followed public criticism concerning advertising internships by the digital payment company VNPAY during a national public holiday.
According to reports, the abolition of announcements may have caused problems with the choreography of the drone, which leads to collisions and the possible cancellation of another program scheduled for May 1.
In addition, the reverse, the rehearsal of April 28 included detailed training celebrating the history and development of Vietnam. Drones have formed a number of images such as national emblems, historical scenes and the city’s skylines.
The performance of the drone was fed by Damoda – a Chinese company which has become known worldwide for its large -scale air displays – and designed in close conjunction with the Vietnamese organizers of the show.
This is not the first world record of Guinness of Damoda. He previously established a record of 10,000 drones during the CCTV Spring Festival gala in 2024 and provided drone systems for a number of other major events, including the 2020 Dubai Expo.
Damoda declared that his drones occurred reliably during the performance, despite the heat and signal interference, and that the company claims more than 10,000 performance to date without accidents and a reliability rate of 99.999%.
