Indycar’s recruit, Robert Shwartzman, obtained pole position for Indianapolis 500 with the fastest tour around the track on Sunday afternoon.
It was Shwartzman’s first time on an oval track. He appeared on “Fox & Friends” on Monday morning, just a few hours after reaching first place in “The Greatest show in Racing”.

“Honestly, I still can’t believe it. It’s a new day and I always have the impression that it is a dream. I have been dreaming for a long time and, yesterday, everything was going so well, the car was incredible,” he said. “I was going out. And when I saw myself in P1, I said to myself:” Wow, it’s incredible. “”
“The reaction of fans and people here in the United States is incredible. I think it is the most memorable and emotional emotional part of my entire career.”
Shwartzman moved to speeds up to 230 mph and was able to somehow maintain control of the fascinating towers. Some other drivers traveling at similar speeds have undergone devastating accidents at a similar rate.

2025 Indy 500 ODDS: Robert Shwartzman recruit increases after secure the post
The 25 -year -old Russian Israeli driver was able to keep control, maintain his goal and become the first recruit to win the pole since 1983.
“It’s really, very fast,” he said. “But as a racing driver, you train to have an appropriate vision. You have to see the road very far because the speed is so fast. Moreover, when you enter the corners at this speed, everything could happen.
“As we have seen, there were incidents of other guys. It hurts a lot. … It’s so stressful. Mentally, I was so tired after because it’s four laps, and it seems quite short, but no. You go so fast there. You have to keep every second under control.”
Shwartzman said he would try to stay cool, calm and collected to win the race.

“I will do my best as I did in qualification, and we will see where we are going to be. I don’t want to put huge expectations. I just want to enjoy it. I want a fast car and fight with the best guys.”
The Indy 500 will be broadcast on May 25 on Fox with pre-coverage from 10 a.m. he. It will also be available to broadcast live on Foxsports.com and the Fox Sports application.
