The Punjab government has announced that summer holidays in all schools in the province will start on May 28, 2025.
According to a statement published by the Minister of Punjab, Rana Sikandar Hayat, the decision was made for the serious severe wave in progress.
In addition to the vacation schedule, revised school hours have also been announced to protect students from extreme heat waves. All schools will now operate from 7:30 am to 11:30 am until the start of the summer holidays.

“The new school hours will be from 7:30 am to 11:30 am,” announced Rana Hayat on X. “School holidays will start on May 28 (the 28 will be a vacation).”
Earlier, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) issued a new advisory warning from an ongoing heat wave in several regions of the country.
Depending on the notice, temperatures should increase by 4 to 6 degrees Celsius above normal levels in the coming days. The PMD urged the public to take the necessary precautions, especially during peak afternoon hours, to avoid heat-related diseases.
