Eidul Adha should be observed in Pakistan on June 7, because astronomical calculations indicate no chance of seeing the moon of Zilhajj on May 27. The famous astronomer Dr Faheem Hashmi said that the moon will only have 11 hours at sunset on May 27, which makes too young to be visible from anywhere in Pakistan.

However, he predicted that the crescent should be seen on May 28, which would mark the first day of Zilhajj and fixed on June 7 as a probable date for Eidul Adha. “The moon will have more than 35 hours on May 28, considerably increasing the chances of observation,” added Dr. Hashmi.

Meanwhile, in the United Arab Emirates (Water), Eidul Adha was expected on June 6, according to the Emirates Astronomy Society.

Its president, Ibrahim Al Jarwan, said that the croissant will appear at 7:02 a.m. water time on May 27 and will remain visible for about 38 minutes after sunset, supporting a probable observation the same evening.

According to Gulf News, if the moon is seen on May 27 in the water, May 28 will mark the start of Zilhajj, the last month of the Islamic lunar calendar.
