There is now a big favorite in the flag football competition at the 2028 summer Olympic Games.
The owners of the NFL unanimously approved a motion on Tuesday which allows the NFL players to participate in the summer games.
Flag Football made its first appearance in three years when the Olympic Games have returned to Los Angeles for the first time since 1984.

“The players have expressed a great desire for the honor of participating in the Olympic Games, and we are delighted that our members are able to represent their country on the highest international scene,” said NFLPA executive director Lloyd Howell, in a statement. “We are impatient to work with the League, the IFAF and the Olympic authorities on the terms of their participation to ensure that players who compete will do it with the protections of their health, their safety and their work.”
When he learned the news that he would be allowed to participate, Justin Jefferson said he was “as soon as possible”.
“To think about the chances of playing the Olympic Games and getting a gold medal, it’s a dream,” he said.
The League has experienced Football Flag, replacing its pro Bowl with skills competitions, including a flag football match.

The owners of the NFL to discuss the revised proposals of the ban on thrust, the playoffs and football
Last month, the NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said that the interest in participating in the summer Olympic Games was a hot topic in the League, adding a resolution on the issue could be to come.
“Well, I have heard many players directly who want to participate and represent their country, be it the United States or a country from which they come,” Goodell said in April.
“I think that is something with which we will continue to discuss, not only the union, but also the clubs. I think the two are things that we will probably resolve in the next 60 days.”

Several players have shown interest, including Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, Aaron Jones and Kyle Juszczyk. The quarter of the Philadelphia Eagles, Jalen Hurts, who won the Super Bowl in February, was also recently tabule the football ambassador for the flag for the matches.
