Google has announced a series of updates from its AI agents in the hope that they become more rationalized as effective colleagues, rather than tools that colleagues use.
“We are considering a future where intelligent agents are not only tools, but collaborative partners to resolve complex challenges, rationalize workflows and unlock new possibilities,” said product manager Polong Lin and developer of developers for Cloud Ai Holt Skinner in a blog article.
The latest updates focus on improved agent management and improving agent agent communication – a sign of AI becoming even more independent.
Google wants to make agents more independent
The technology giant has improved its agent development kit (ADK) to include a new V.1.0.0 version ready for production and stable of its Python ADK, which, according to it, is already used by Renault Group, Box and Revionics. To coincide with this stable version, Google also confirmed its first version of the Java ADK V0.1.0.
In terms of management, recognizing that the Vertex AI agent engine already helps developers to deploy, manage and set up production agents, Google has also launched its user interface for the agent engine for better management of the life cycle of agents.
The main features of the new user interface of the Google Cloud console include a dashboard to manage the deployed agents, measurements such as requests and the use of the processor, management and tracing of sessions and deployment details with debugging tools.
Other improvements in the agent2agent protocol (A2A) have also been confirmed, in particular v0.2 which provides a state -less interaction medium for light communications and standardized authentication using an Openapi type diagram. An SDK Python for A2A has also been published to facilitate the communication of agent agent developers within Python -based agents.
Anxious to show the power of the A2A, Google boasted of the management of Auth0, Box AI, Microsoft, SAP and Zoom.
“This progress of our Adk, agent engine and A2A protocol are designed to provide you with a complete and flexible platform to give life to your most ambitious projects focused on agents,” commented Lin and Skinner.
