Islamabad:
PPP President Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari said Wednesday that water politicization by violating the Industry Water Treaty (IWT) was a form of “hybrid war” and if it was continuous, future generations would be at war against water.
Speaking to the media only a few days after Pakistan and India accepted a cease-fire as a result of intense drone and missile exchanges, the PPP chief warned that India’s assertion of normal ” in cross-border conflicts could harm regional peace and stability, in particular between the two nuclear neighbors.
He reprimanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks concerning the Sindoor operation establishing a new standard. Bilawal noted that Pakistan acted with restraint and had only exerted its right to self -defense. “The international community has recognized our responsible behavior.”
“The new Aggression Standard of India is not durable and is certainly not in its interest,” said Bilawal. “This approach, rooted in hatred and division, degenerates tensions,” he added.
Bilawal will lead a high -level delegation awarded by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to visit the world capitals, aimed briefing foreign governments, the media and parliaments on Pakistan’s position and recent actions from India.
He said that sustainable peace in South Asia has remained impossible without solving key problems, including the dispute from Jammu-et-Cachemire, cross-border terrorism and the alleged armament of India water resources.
The accompanying climate minister, Musadik Malik, accused India of targeting civilians and building a false story of domination. “Their burst jets have fallen like birds,” he said, referring to Indian military losses.
Former Foreign Minister Khurram Dastgir, who is also part of the delegation, said the posture of India reflected an anti-Muslim and anti-Pakistan program. “It is not the conduct of a responsible state,” he added.
