The Sindh government has announced summer holidays for all schools and colleges in the province, in force from June 1 to July 31.
A notification issued by the Sindh education department has confirmed that the summer holidays will be observed in all educational establishments during this period.
One day earlier, the government of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) announced the summer holiday calendar for government and private schools in the province.
According to a notification published by the KP education department, summer holidays for schools in the summer zone (plains areas) will be observed from June 1 to August 31 for primary schools.
For medium, high and upper secondary schools, the summer holidays begin on June 15 and will continue until August 31.
The notification also declared that in the winter zone, schools will observe the summer holidays from July 1 to 31.
This calendar applies uniformly to government and private educational establishments operating in the respective areas of KP.
Likewise, the Punjab government announced that summer holidays in all schools in the province are starting on May 28.
According to a statement from the Minister of Punjab, Rana Sikandar Hayat, the decision was made due to the serious heat wave.
