The emblematic Borg-Warner trophy is a constant in the legendary Indianapolis 500 race each year.
Each winner obtains his name, the average speed, the year he won and his face engraved on the trophy which weighs around 110 pounds and measures a little more than five feet, four inches high.
The first time the trophy was released was in 1936, when he was awarded to Louis Meyer and declared an annual prize for Indy 500 winners.

While the trophy was created in 1935, he honored the winners from 1911 because they had their name, year, average speed and faces what the trophy.
In its original form, the trophy measured 52 inches and 80 pounds of sterling silver. It was made to commemorate 70 winners of the race. Two bases were added to the trophy in 1987 and 2004, and these added to the trophy can commemorate the winners of the Indy 500 to 2033.
There is an unwavering winner who is engraved on the trophy, and it is Anton Hulman. Hulman owned the Indianapolis Motor Speedway from 1945 until his death in 1977. His face is the only one on the trophy which is gold.
The trophy is permanently at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway museum.
