Sargodha: while making criticisms again on the party led by Imran Khan, the chief minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, said that there was little difference between what happened on May 9 in Pakistan and the recent assault on India.
Addressing students during an event in Sargodha, CM Maryam made a clear comparison, saying that just as we protect a laptop against viruses, the spirit must also be protected from political “viruses”.
She urged young people to keep their thoughts by being influenced by toxic ideologies.
On May 9, 2023, workers and supporters of Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf (PTI) attacked state facilities, including the general headquarters of Rawalpindi, after which was called “black day”.
Criticizing the PTI, the chief minister said that the acts committed on May 9 and those of India were alarming.
“We can have a difference in opinion with personalities, but on May 9, military facilities were burned down. Their targets were the facilities of our armed forces. This party did what even our enemies have not done for decades,” she said.
She also added that what had been done by a certain political party and that her disciples misleaded on May 9, reflected the actions of the terrorists. “The political figure in question has also targeted our armed forces. The same installations that have been attacked were used by our air force to shoot down five enemy planes. ”
CM Maryam urged young people not to become fuel for disorders and discord. “Never talk about your country, never hurt yourself. Do not take a step against your homeland. Be a strong defensive wall for your nation, ”she said.
India launched an attack on Pakistan earlier this month. In response, the Pakistani armed forces launched a solid operation, which ultimately led to a ceasefire between nations-but not without the loss of more than 50 Pakistani lives.
