If you have always wanted to have your Solana wallet on your wrist while arrowing your wealth, the Swiss watchmaker Franck Muller makes a reality.
The watches market enters the web 3 ecosystem with a series of limited edition watches inspired by Solana which contain a unique QR code integrated to be directly linked to the Solana address of the user.
The Société -Inspired Solana Watches collection is limited to 1,111 units that will make 20,000 Swiss francs hear (around $ 24,300).
While the watches present a unique design which could appeal to participants in the Solana ecosystem, their launch arrives at a time when, unfortunately, the fortune of wealth linked to cryptography becomes risky.
The cryptocurrency industry has seen dozens of physical attacks this year, with a notable case, the girl and grandson of Pierre Noizat, CEO of the Crypto Paymium platform, is targeted during a diurnal abduction attempt. The attack was filmed and shared on social networks.
While this attempt to abduction failed, a earlier in the same city saw the father of one millionaire crypto removed. The police managed to save the man, but not before his finger was cut.
Earlier this year, the co-founder of the manufacturer of Wallet Hardware Ledger, David Balland, as well as his wife, were removed from his home and saw a similar treatment. The couple was then rescued by the authorities, and a ransom that had been paid was seized.
There have been many other similar attacks in recent months.
Franck Muller presents the collection as a “phygital” symbol (physical-numeric) of identity and property at cryptographic age. Although the watch is certainly a piece of crypto myth, it can be a collection that investors may not want to show.
